Dallas, TX — Exceptional Healthcare Inc., a Dallas, Texas–based hospital system, has announced that Exceptional Community Hospital – Rapid City will officially open its doors and begin accepting patients on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. The new state-of-the-art hospital is located at 1700 Dyess Avenue in Rapid City.

The new community hospital marks Exceptional Healthcare’s first hospital location in South Dakota and its ninth hospital opening. Exceptional Community Hospital – Rapid City will offer 24/7 emergency and inpatient services, giving patients and families throughout western South Dakota another option for convenient, high-quality care close to home.
