Dallas, TX — Exceptional Community Hospitals in Yuma, Arizona, Bullhead City, AZ and Lubbock, Texas, are asking patients to disregard debt collection letters recently received in error. Due to a processing failure by a third-party billing vendor, some patients did not receive their billing statements as expected. As a result, past-due balances were inadvertently sent to a debt collection agency. Patients who have received a debt collection notice related to this issue should disregard it. Additionally, this error will not impact patient credit scores.

Bruce McVeigh, Chief Operating Officer of Exceptional Community Hospital said, “We understand the confusion and frustration this may have caused. We are actively working to correct the situation. We want to reassure all patients who received the debt collection notice that their account has not been negatively impacted. Any patient who received a debt collection notice will also receive a follow-up communication via email or mail to reassure them that their account is not in collection status.

For any questions or concerns, we encourage patients to contact our billing department at 469-807-1200. When calling either number, please select option #1 for billing. Patients may also send an email to billing@ehc24.com. A dedicated member of our billing team will be available to review accounts, provide accurate statements, and assist in resolving any issues.

We appreciate our patients’ understanding and patience as we work swiftly to correct this matter with our vendor. Exceptional Community Hospital - Yuma, Exceptional Community Hospital - Bullhead City, and Exceptional Community Hospital – Lubbock is committed to ensuring transparency and trust remains top priority.
