Biography

Jodi Courter, MSN, BSN, RN, CEN, is the Chief Nursing Officer at Exceptional Community Hospital in Yuma, Arizona, bringing more than 16 years of healthcare experience and a passion for clinical excellence, quality improvement, and patient-centered care. Her clinical background includes long-term care, rehabilitation, med-surg/ortho, cardiology, cardiovascular intensive care, and emergency medicine, where she spent the majority of her career.

Before becoming Chief Nursing Officer, Courter served as the Emergency Department Manager at Exceptional Community Hospital. Prior to joining Exceptional, she served as an Emergency Department Charge Nurse, building the leadership and clinical expertise that continue to guide her today. She is known for her collaborative leadership style and her commitment to developing high-performing teams through mentorship, accountability, and continuous learning.

Courter holds the Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) credential through the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Parkland College and both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University.

She is committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and continuous improvement while ensuring patients receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
