Biography

Dr. Adam Berkovits brings more than 15 years of dedicated emergency medicine experience to his role as Medical Director of the Emergency Department. Board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, he has practiced throughout southern Nevada and western Arizona, and has been a trusted member of the Bullhead City medical community since 2017.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Berkovits has contributed to early-phase clinical research, serving as Associate Medical Director for Phase I clinical trials with PPD Pharmaceutical Research in Las Vegas.

Dr. Berkovits is actively involved in medical education and serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he is committed to mentoring medical students in both research and clinical preparedness.

He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas, earning multiple distinctions, including the Resident Research Award and Community Medicine Resident of the Year. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona, graduating with honors, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Indiana University.

Dr. Berkovits is a Certified Ringside Physician and regularly serves on-site for USA Boxing events. He has also volunteered as a wartime emergency physician with Israel’s national emergency medical service, Magen David Adom.

Dr. Berkovits is dedicated to advancing high-quality, patient-centered emergency care for the Bullhead City community.
