Understanding Inpatient Medical Services

Inpatient care is reserved for patients who require ongoing or extended medical treatment that cannot be satisfied through outpatient services. It involves hospital admission to ensure 24-hour monitoring during the patient’s medical procedure and/or intensive treatment. Various acute and chronic illnesses, diseases, conditions, rehabilitation efforts, and surgical procedures are performed on an inpatient basis.

Inpatient Care Redefined

The prospect of inpatient hospital care may be daunting. Many patients fear being left alone during illness or injury, and others do not feel comfortable sharing a room with a stranger. That’s why we’re redefining inpatient care at Exceptional Community Hospitals, exceeding the industry standard to provide patients with a personalized and positive hospital stay experience.

Inpatient Care Admissions

Many extended-stay or overnight patients begin in ER inpatient care before being stabilized and transferred to the appropriate inpatient care department. Inpatient care may also arise from a doctor’s referral. In every case, we take a hands-on approach to mobilizing our resources—collaborating with EMS, primary care physicians, and specialists to ensure seamless transitions into inpatient care.

Exceptional Community Hospitals provides comprehensive inpatient medical services. Our state-of-the-art hospitals are defined by comfortable inpatient rooms, innovative technology, and board-certified professionals.
